President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov has sent a congratulatory note July 26 to Federal President of Swiss Confederation Micheline Calmy-Rey on the Swiss National Day.
“Uzbekistan highly appreciates the constructive and mutually advantageous relations built between our two nations, an interaction with a tremendous potential for further advancement and intensification in all spheres in the interests of both peoples,” Uzbekistan’s head of state notes in his letter.
Taking the opportunity, President Islam Karimov wished Micheline Calmy-Rey a sound health and all the best, as well as peace and prosperity to the people of Switzerland.
President of Uzbekistan also congratulated Truong Tan Sang, President-elect of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
In his greeting message, Islam Karimov expressed confidence that Truong Tan Sang’s activity in that noble post will facilitate steadfast development and consolidation of traditional friendly relations and long-term cooperation between Uzbekistan and Vietnam in every possible way and on principles of mutual respect and confidence.
“I wish You success in Your exalted public service, a fine health and wellbeing, and peace and affluence to the Vietnamese people,” the address affirms.
