President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has met Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Li Keqiang.
Premier Li Keqiang has said that the visit of the President of Uzbekistan will help further develop cooperation and strengthen the relations of strategic partnership between our countries.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has said that Uzbekistan highly values the friendly relations with China and that the dynamic development of the cooperation between the two countries serves the interests of the Uzbek and Chinese peoples.
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with representatives of business circles of China.
The current state and prospects of cooperation, priority directions of steady development of the long-term partnership between Uzbekistan and China were discussed at the meeting.
It was underlined that Uzbekistan has established long-term and mutually beneficial relations with leading industrial companies of China, joint projects in oil and gas, telecommunications, transport, textiles, tourism, construction, chemicals and other spheres have been successfully implemented.
Within the framework of the state visit of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the People’s Republic of China, important agreements have been reached in the political and economic spheres, and a range of important documents on promising areas of cooperation have been signed.
Following the two Heads of State’s meeting with the participation of official delegations, a ceremony to sign these documents took place.
At the talks, it was said that mutually advantageous cooperation rising to a new level and the commonality or similarity of the two states’ positions on regional and international issues were of important significance.
As a result of the talks, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Xi Jinping signed a joint declaration between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the People’s Republic of China.
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein on 10 May.
The Head of our state, greeting the guest, particularly underlined the significance of further developing and reinforcing a constructive and open dialogue between Uzbekistan and the UN, institutions of this authoritative universal international organization, including with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
It was stressed that a comprehensive protection of human rights is a priority in the deep structural reforms, carried out in out country.
